Truck stop?

Don Shrubshell photos
Above, Carl Buckner, a worker at Midway Travel Plaza, sweeps broken glass today after a Ford Explorer ran into the restaurant area of the truck stop at Interstate 70 and Highway 40 west of Columbia. No one was injured. Below, Jim Hayes, 68, right, visits with his brother George Hayes, left, and Connie Gaw after the 9:25 a.m. accident. A brace on Jim Hayes’ foot became tangled in the pedals and he hit the accelerator. George was a passenger in the vehicle. Gaw was having coffee with her husband when the crash occurred. No charges were filed.
