Spence is the kind of rep the 25th District needs

Editor, the Tribune: Everyone has been so caught up in nationwide politics for the past six months that I want to take time to shed light on the important elections going on locally - specifically, the 25th District, which I live in. I find myself excited in a local election for the first time in as long as I can remember. In the midst of constant presidential campaign news coverage, it is easy to forget local elections going on concurrently that are just as important.

I have been especially impressed with the campaign work of Sean Spence, who understands the importance of candidate-voter interaction. Few and far between are candidates who show the same amount of dedication and hard work for a state representative race. Sean walks door to door daily no matter what the weather is like. An accessible representative is what the voters of the 25th need, and Sean has already shown how much of a grass-roots candidate he is.

I believe we would all, not just those living in the 25th, benefit greatly from having Sean as an official in Jefferson City. If the constituents of the district that encompasses the University of Missouri, Columbia College and Stephens College believe in progressive politics and action, not rhetoric, Sean Spence is the candidate to bring you those results.
