Suspect in transit held in meth case

A southeast Missouri man wanted on a federal drug warrant was arrested yesterday in Boone County during a traffic stop.

Jackson

David V. Jackson, 51, of Annapolis, Mo., was arrested by Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers at about 10:17 a.m. yesterday on suspicion of speeding and booked into the Boone County Jail on a federal warrant.

Jackson was being sought by agents of the St. Louis office of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration on suspicion of conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.

He remained today at the jail. No bond was set.
