SECOND THOUGHTS

Second Thoughts includes corrections, clarifications and elaboration associated with Tribune news articles. When you see something that bothers you, call Managing Editor Jim Robertson at 815-1707.

A story about Mary Margaret Coffield on yesterday’s School Matters page should have said she helps coach students in district speech and acting contests. She does not teach debate. Stacey Bonderer teaches debate and public speaking at both Rock Bridge and Hickman high schools.

A story yesterday about Stephens College’s mass media department misspelled the first name of mass media professor Kerri Yost.

A news brief yesterday about strong fumes reported downtown included inaccurate information about 9th St. Video. The video store was one of the businesses evacuated after someone there reported the odor to authorities. The fumes were the result of chemicals used during the renovation of a nearby business. 9th St. Video, which is preparing to move into a new location, is not under renovation.
