For an excellent analysis explaining why Barack Obama is bound to receive the Democratic nomination for president, I commend the piece appearing Tuesday in this newspaper’s Opinion page by Peter Brown, a university pollster.

Measure gives parents best options for school
Editor, the Tribune: I’m writing to ask Sen. Chuck Graham to support Senate Bill 993, creating Missouri’s first scholarship tax credit program for disabled and special-needs children. This bill allows an 80 percent tax credit for donations to a scholarship fund that families whose children are not receiving an appropriate education at their current school can use to find solutions at another school.

Daylight saving reminder helpful, mistakenly funny
Editor, the Tribune: I appreciated the reminder about daylight saving time in the top left corner of the March 9 Tribune, but I was amused that the person who wrote it did not "rember" how to spell "remember."

Editor, the Tribune: To whomever took my beloved dog: I sincerely hope you realize what a wonderful dog you got when you took my black Lab, Lady, on Friday evening, March 14. She was the love of our family and very dedicated to us, and we know she would never have left on her own.
