Larry Leroux, 1923-2008

Larry Leroux, 84, of Columbia passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in Columbia. Larry’s body will be gifted to the University of Missouri Anatomy Department, and no services will be held. He was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Preston, Kan., to Lawrence L. and Mabel Davis Leroux. He married Jeanette Hefling on June 9, 1957, and she survives. Larry served in the Army during World War II. He worked for Columbia Mutual Insurance for 10 years. He was a member of the Twilight Lodge No. 114 A.F. & A.M. for more than 50 years and Boone Chapter No. 290 Order of Eastern Star. He enjoyed playing the organ. Survivors include a son, Steven and wife Tammy; a daughter, Stefanie Leroux; a sister, Mary James; a grandson, Allen Leroux; and three nephews. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements are under the care of Parker Funeral Service.
