Meth conspiracy nets federal prison time

Two Columbia men were sentenced yesterday in federal court for participating in a conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine. U.S. District Judge Scott Wright sentenced Timothy Eric Conrad, 37, and Blake Edward Idel, 22, in Jefferson City to 13 years and 10 years, respectively. Conrad pleaded guilty to his role in the conspiracy on July 25. Idel pleaded guilty on Dec. 20. Co-defendant Karen Wall, 42, of Columbia was sentenced in August to three years and three months in federal prison. The Columbia Police Department and the Boone County Sheriff’s Department helped investigate the case.
