Man gets five years in child porn case
Published Tuesday, March 6, 2007
A Columbia man was sentenced yesterday to serve five years in federal prison for possessing child pornography. David Oliver Reed, 40, was also ordered to forfeit a Macintosh computer that he used to commit the offense. U.S. District Judge Scott Wright sentenced him in Jefferson City. Reed pleaded guilty in June to possessing child pornography that had been downloaded from the Internet. Investigators seized his computer in November 2004 and found 268 images and movie files containing child pornography.
