Local man charged in ecstasy case

A Columbia man was indicted by a federal grand jury yesterday for allegedly participating in a conspiracy to distribute ecstasy. James Edward Dismang, 27, was charged in a two-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Jefferson City. The first count alleges that Dismang participated in a conspiracy to distribute ecstasy in 2005 in Boone County. The second count alleges that he was in possession of ecstasy with the intent to distribute on Dec. 30, 2005.
