Bruins, Kewps boys set for battle
Published Thursday, January 25, 2007
No leaks have been discovered at Rock Bridge gym lately, so tonight’s boys basketball game between Hickman and state-ranked Rock Bridge should go off without a hitch. The varsity game tips off at approximately 7:30 p.m., following the junior varsity contest. The Bruins, ranked second in Class 5 with a 15-1 record, have already defeated Hickman (10-8) once this season. The two teams met at Mizzou Arena on Jan. 7 as part of the MFA Oil/Break Time Shootout, with Rock Bridge senior Isaiah Warren scoring a season-high 19 points to lead the Bruins to a 56-46 victory. Hickman hasn’t played since Friday, when the Kewpies claimed third-place in the Culver’s Shootout in Lee’s Summit. Rock Bridge is coming off a 57-37 win Tuesday at Duchesne.
