Saturday Missouri United Methodist Church, 204 S. Ninth St., will host the Ninth Street Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Alex Innecco, at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary; they will perform Gustav Mahler’s "The Titan." Tickets are avaible in advance from the church office for $10 or at the door for $15. Sunday First Assembly of God, 1100 N. Seventh St., will have worship service at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Tracy Cook will speak. Sunday school classes for all ages will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Bill Sasso will be the speaker at the service. Wiley Miller and Kevin Fritsche will speak at the forum discussion from 9 to 10 a.m. in the library. Calvary Episcopal Church, 123 S. Ninth St., will celebrate Communion at 8, 9 and 11:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. Activity hour for children ages 2 to 5 and children’s chapel for children in kindergarten through third grade will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday school for 2-year-olds through 12th-graders will be at 10:15 a.m. The Adult Forum will meet at 10:15 a.m. in Room 101. Episcopal Campus Ministry will worship at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. The Episcopal Youth Fellowship Senior High Group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 201. Unity Center of Columbia, 1600 W. Broadway, will have services at 9 and 11 a.m. The Rev. Kristin Powell will continue with the "Many Paths to the One" series with the topic "Indigenous Truths." Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1100 College Park Drive, will have Bible study for all ages at 9:30 a.m. and worship service at 10:30 a.m. Russell Chapel CME Church, 108 E. Ash, will have their monthly Youth Emphasis Sunday Program at 10:45 a.m. Pamodzi, a diverse group of people dedicated to community service, dramatic interpretation and career awareness, will be there to celebrate Black History Month. First Christian Church, 101 N. 10th St., will have Bob Priddy speaking on the topic "In the Footsteps of Alexander: The role of religion in the settling of Missouri" at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary. A reception will follow the lecture. Next week First Church of Christ, Scientist, 800 W. Broadway, provides taped spiritual messages 24 hours a day at 442-4288. This week, hear "God, Love, Guides." First Presbyterian Church, 16 Hitt St., will have Youth Handball practice at 6 p.m. Tuesday. On Wednesday the Kids Club will meet at 4 p.m., the Youth Connection Bible Study for girls will meet at 7 p.m. and Adult Choir will practice at 7:30 p.m. Youth Connection Bible Study for boys will meet at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Missouri United Methodist Church, 204 S. Ninth St., will have the Wednesday Night Live program, "Before They Fall Off the Cliff: The Ripple Effect of Schizophrenia," presented by Dr. Elaine Larson, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 107. Calvary Episcopal Church, 123 S. Ninth St., will celebrate Holy Communion at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Campus Ministry will meet at 9 p.m. Wednesday. Episcopal Youth Fellowship Junior High Group will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Room 201. They will also have a Mardi Gras sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. next Saturday in the Parish Hall. St. Thomas More Newman Center students will perform "Herstory," their full-length original musical at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and next Saturday in the main chapel at the Newman Center on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. The production is based on the women in the Bible, admission is free and all proceeds will benefit The Shelter and The LEAD Institute. Grace Bible Church will host Mini Worldview Weekend on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. in honor of police Officer Molly Thomas Bowden. Speakers will examine all areas of life, including law, science, economics, history, family, education and social issues, from a biblical worlview. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students ages 12 to 22, and free for children 11 and younger. Tickets are available at the Grace Bible Church office, 449-6794, and at Lemstone Christian Bookstore in the Crossroads West Shopping Center. Karis Community Church will host a viewing and discussion of the film "Jesus Camp" at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Boone County Government Center, 801 E. Walnut. The event is free. Call 823-4130 or visit karischurch.org. Russell Chapel Men’s Ministry will sponsor the Men/Boys Breakfast at 9 a.m. next Saturday. A free breakfast is provided to those in attendance and a guest speaker will speak on a topic of special interest. Ages 6 and older are welcomed for the mentoring program. First Baptist Church in Fulton will host the Beth Moore live satellite simulcast next Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the church at (573) 642-3348. The Lutheran Laymen’s League Fellowship Club will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast in the basement Fellowship Hall of Trinity Lutheran Church, 2201 W. Rollins Road, next Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the door.
