Joyce Andrews doesn’t consider herself a hero, but that’s how she is described by those who recall a heroic deed she performed that went unnoticed for more than a year.
Columbia Mayor Darwin Hindman, Fire Chief Bill Markgraf and Division Chief Dean Martin presented the 26-year-old with the Citizen’s Heroism Award before last night’s city council meeting.
