Voter registration bill gets approval in House

JEFFERSON CITY (AP) - The House gave initial approval yesterday to a bill requiring hunting and fishing license applicants to be given information about registering to vote.

The measure would require the secretary of state’s office to compare the license records with voting rolls. Those eligible but not registered would be sent a registration form.
