Students honored for skills at writing

The National Council of Teachers of English has recognized four Columbia students for excellence in writing. Three Hickman High School students - Meghna Srinath, Cole Pruitt and Ben Podgursky - and one Rock Bridge High School student - Nuzhat Chowdhury - won the council’s annual English writing contest. A total of 606 students nationwide received the recognition. Recipients were chosen from 2,080 students nominated during their junior year by teachers.
