A 22-year-old Columbia man remained in jail today after being accused of assaulting the mother of his 2-year-old child and threatening her with a knife on Mother’s Day.

Slain officer honored during national event
Columbia police Officer Molly Bowden was scheduled to be memorialized at noon today at the 25th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.
