It’s no one else’s business if owners allow smoking
Published Thursday, June 8, 2006
Editor, the Tribune: I am a nonsmoker and have been all my life. But the better-than-thou attitude over smoking is becoming ridiculous. If the owner of a business wants smoking allowed, then it is his or her business. If people choose not to come and spend money, then the owner will adjust as he or she wants. As far as workers, they may choose other jobs in less dangerous environments. Once again, it’s their choice. Columbia has always had an attitude that some know better than most and their views should be mandated. Take care of yourself, and let God work out the details.
