Voters can trust Dykhouse to be a good, caring leader
Published Thursday, June 8, 2006
Editor, the Tribune: I first met C.J. Dykhouse when I was 5 years old and going through my parents’ divorce. When my mom was in a meeting, C.J. sat with me and colored in my superheroes coloring book. C.J. helped me by explaining what was going on and making things easier for me. I am now 11, and when my mom and I have questions, he always answers us in an honest way, and he still cares about what happens to us. When I was 9, my sister was born with Down syndrome. My mom, stepdad and I learned that he helps other families that have children with special needs. I am glad he will be able to help me and my sister. He is probably one of the best people I have ever known. I hope he wins because I know he will make the best decisions for adults and children. This is a free country, and you don’t have to listen to me, but I will do what I can to help him be elected. I can’t vote for him because I’m too young, but I hope you vote for C.J. if you can.
