Girls basketball ● Rolla 42, Rock Bridge 39: The Bruins suffered their first loss of the season in the championship game of the Rolla Tournament. Rock Bridge (9-1) led 36-29 entering the fourth quarter but couldn’t hang on. Cameo Holly and Katherine Harry each scored 11 for the Bruins. Holly was named the tournament’s MVP, and Harry and Ashley Dressler were named to the all-tournament team. Kaitlin Bramel led Rolla (11-2) with 12 points. "It was a game of runs, and it was basically whoever had the ball last was going to win," Rock Bridge Coach Jill Nagel said. "It was two evenly matched teams. If we played six times, each team would probably win three." ● Hallsville 47, Salisbury 44: The Indians captured the Madison Tournament after trailing Salisbury 34-32 heading into the fourth quarter of the championship game. The Indians (10-3) made 7 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter and got a crucial three-point play from Samantha Mullings that helped secure the lead. Whitney Grindstaff led Hallsville with 12 points, while Emily Haun added 10 and Mullings nine. Allison Stock and Jessica Henderson both scored 11 points for Salisbury. ● Harrisburg 55, Cameron 32: Kelly Collie’s 12 points led three Bulldogs in double figures.
