If we’ve learned anything from the Missouri football team’s nonconference games, it is that the Tigers have what it takes to dominate in the Sun Belt Conference. That would be better news if they were a member of the Sun Belt Conference, but it will have to do as a consolation prize until beefy Big 12 opponent Texas arrives in two weeks.

Bruins covered in yellow

The Rock Bridge football team wore its all-black uniforms Friday against Liberty, but yellow was the color of the night - as in yellow penalty flags. The Bruins were penalized 13 times for 130 yards in their 26-7 loss, continuing an ugly trend for the young season. In three games, the Bruins (2-1) have been penalized 33 times for 320 yards.
